SPECIALTY STYLES
HALF ROUND WINDOW
A Half round window is considered a specialty picture window as it does not open. It is a
wonderful look for gables, as well as in formal living rooms.
HALF ROUND WINDOW WITH LEGS
A half round window with legs is the same as above except the sides come down
further.
2 HIGH HALF ROUND WINDOW
A 2 high half round window is the same as above except it has a mullion horizontally across the
bottom of the half round portion which makes it look like a half round with a picture window below. Another
option to this is to put the horizontal mullion bar across the bottom section for a truly unique
look.
QUARTER ROUND WINDOW
The quarter round window is again a specialty picture window that does not open. It is exactly ¼
of a circle. Generally used with other windows as a group, which is a very distinct architectural
look.
QUARTER ROUND WINDOW WITH LEGS
A quarter round window with legs is basically the same as above except the sides come down
further. It has the same uses as above.
CIRCLE WINDOW
The circle window is another specialty picture window that does not open. It is generally used
in the top of gabled (angled)walls. Photo below includes SDL exterior grids which is an
option.
ARCH WINDOW
The arched window has a gentle curve and can be curved to fit almost any
situation.
QUARTER ARCH WINDOW
The quarter arch window has a 90 degree angle along the bottom and one side with an arch across
the top.
QUARTER ARCH WINDOW WITH LEGS
The quarter arch window differs from the true quarter arch as it has legs which gives you have
90 degree angles on each side of the bottom portion.
GABLE WINDOW
The gable window is a specialty picture window designs to follow the roof line of a gabled wall
(angled).
DOGHOUSE WINDOW
The doghouse specialty picture window has a unique application. It is designed to fit at the top
of a gable wall where the two angles meet.
OCTAGON WINDOW
The octagon window is an eight sided window which adds an interesting architectural look to
stairway walls and high locations for a great look and for allowing more light in.
HEXAGON WINDOW
A hexagon window is very much like the octagon window except for having only six sides. The
applications would be as for the octagon window.
PARALLELGRAM WINDOW
The parallelogram window has a horizontal top and bottom and the two sides are angled in the
same direction.
